Good to know
- Count heads, not invitations: a household of four is one envelope but four chairs.
- Keep an A list (must invite) and a B list (if there is room); send B-list invitations as A-list declines come in, early enough to look natural.
- Note addresses and dietary needs as you go: you will need the first for invitations and the second for the caterer.
Turn the list into replies
Import this file in Bridewell and each household gets its own RSVP link: guests answer for themselves, meals and dietary needs included, and your head count updates on its own. Free for 20 guests; Premium removes the cap.

How many people should we invite to our wedding?
Start from the budget and the venue: what you can spend on food and drink divided by the cost per guest, and how many the venue holds. Some invitees will decline, but only invite people you would be glad to see if everyone said yes.
What is an A list and a B list?
The A list is everyone you must invite; the B list is people you would love to invite if there is room. As replies from the A list come in, invite from the B list — early enough that nobody can tell.
Can I import this into Bridewell?
Yes. The file uses column names Bridewell's guest import recognises — name, party size, side, plus-one, email and address — so you can upload it under Guests and keep planning there.
