Good to know
- A party always sits together — it is one invitation — and “keep apart” is never broken.
- Seat the people with the strongest wishes first: family, the wedding party, anyone who must not share a table.
- Leave a seat or two free at a few tables for late plus-ones and the vendors' meals.
Seat guests as their replies come in
In Bridewell the seating chart follows your guest list: only guests who said yes need a seat, households stay together, and the same auto-arrange proposes a plan you then adjust by hand. Free for 2 tables and 20 guests; Premium removes the caps.

How do I make a wedding seating chart?
List your tables and how many each seats, then your guests by party. Place the people with the strongest wishes first — family, the wedding party, anyone who must not sit together — then fill the rest by group: friends from school, colleagues, neighbours. This page makes that first draft for you.
How many guests fit at one wedding table?
Round tables usually seat eight to ten, long tables eight to twelve depending on their length. Ask your venue what its tables seat comfortably with place settings and centrepieces: that number is often lower than the maximum.
When should we do the seating chart?
After the RSVP deadline, once you know who is coming — usually two to three weeks before the wedding. Venues and caterers often want the final plan in the last week or two.
