Send an invite
- Open your wedding and go to People.
- Create an invite and choose the role the person should have.
- Share the link, or let them scan its QR code with a phone camera.
- They open it, sign in or create a free account, and confirm joining. Opening the link alone joins nothing.
An invite link is a key to your wedding: send it only to the person it is for. It expires, can be limited to a number of uses, and you can revoke it at any time.
Roles and what they can do
| Role | What it means |
|---|---|
| Co-owner | Everything the owner can do: usually your partner. |
| Planner | Edits every section; made for a professional or a close helper. |
| Editor | Edits the plan — checklist, guests, vendors, timeline, seating — but doesn't see the budget. |
| Viewer | Sees the plan without changing it; the budget stays hidden. |
| Reader | A short read-only look: no guest details, money, seating or private notes. |
| Custom | You choose per section: hidden, can view or can edit. |
Money has its own switch: someone without access to amounts sees “Amount hidden” instead of numbers, everywhere, and cannot change a price. Bridewell enforces this on the server, not just in the app.
Change or take back access
- Change anyone's role or section access from People; it applies at once on every device.
- Remove a person, or revoke an invite link that hasn't been used yet.
- Only the owner and co-owners can change the budget total and its currency.
Plans and limits
On the free plan you can share a wedding with 1 other person — usually your partner. Premium removes the limit, so family and your planner can join too.
